About us

We are an  Equestrian Center born with the idea of facilitating the human-equine relation, dedicated to teaching people and training horses.

An easy to understand and relaxed way of learning about and enjoying horses, in a spectacularly natural site, with over 50 hectares along the Gaia (Tarragona) river bank.

EQUILIBRE was created to promote “Doma Natural” in its many forms and recover the nature in the equestrian culture through classes, courses and conferences with known and trusted professionals.

We listen to horses, understand their evolutionary motivations, respect them and satisfy their physical and mental needs (natural programs) throughout the stages of their lives, and their relationship with humans.A place for dialogue amongst professionals and horse owners, for sharing knowledge on how to improve our relation with equines during their training, management and riding.

  2. Hello! i love the website and images. Thanks for putting some of it in English. You met my cousin Alison Micklem in October and she said I must get in touch with you as I’d love what you are doing. She is right!!

I live in Ireland with my horse and do energy work with people, animals and buildings, infact everything. I also run a Conscious Community. I am thinking of moving to Barcelona with my horse so that he can enjoy a warm climate (He’s a thoroughbred who raced at 8 years old and then I bought and retrained for dressage. He is now 18 years old. I am a quallified riding instructor too but much more interested now in the holistic relationship you seem to teach)and I can experience a new country and culture. I wonder if you would have room for me there in some outhouse!? I’m sure I could make myself useful there promoting the English speaking courses.

Maybe you would help by telling me if there are any little cottages available near you and if you would be interested in working together.

Lots of love and hopefully meet you soon, Franc Micklem
