I live near Cadiar in the Alpujarras, Andalucia and my partner I own 2 spanish horses and ride locally and in the higher mountains when we can. I have been studying Monty Roberts work for 2 years now and have helped on his demos in the UK as well as helping Intelligent Horsemanship UK on one of their foundation courses. The good news is I can now afford to start my training along with my friend Rache Mackie, with the aim of having a training facility in the Alpujarras where there are many horse people from all parts of europe. It was so good to read of your work and know that you are out there doing such fantastic work for horses and people. Perhaps we get to meet one day. I read about you at finish paper and began to plan the journey to Spain! I am 57 years old woman and very much in love with riding and horses, especially in the nature and terrain. I have been riding about seven years once a week and lately with iceland-horses. I really liked to get to know your horses! Do you have the place for two next summer, that five days room and board? Thanks for putting some of it in English. You met my cousin Alison Micklem in October and she said I must get in touch with you as I'd love what you are doing. She is right!! I live in Ireland with my horse and do energy work with people, animals and buildings, infact everything. I also run a Conscious Community. I am thinking of moving to Barcelona with my horse so that he can enjoy a warm climate (He's a thoroughbred who raced at 8 years old and then I bought and retrained for dressage. He is now 18 years old. I am a quallified riding instructor too but much more interested now in the holistic relationship you seem to teach)and I can experience a new country and culture. I wonder if you would have room for me there in some outhouse!? I'm sure I could make myself useful there promoting the English speaking courses. Maybe you would help by telling me if there are any little cottages available near you and if you would be interested in working together.
